Hang in there, jazz lovers! Though the weather outside is frightful, you know that as we get closer to summer, real summer, the hot jazz licks will rise up from the South Saskatchewan river banks and we will lnow that it is Sasktel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival time! Come June 25th, this city will be filled with jazz music like no other time in the year. Have you checkedout the line-up for the 2010 jazz festival. The brochure is out and the line-up looks hot! D.J. Champion, a fovorite of this writer, had to bow out due to illness. The festival went to work quickly and came up with Macy Gray, no...she's not exactly jazz...but she will bring the peopl out.

On Sunday, June 6th, I am hosting Sunday Night Jazz onMagic 98.3 from 6 PM to 9 PM. Throughout the month of June I will be behind the controls on Sunday nights and sharing the music of the musicians that will be performing at the 2010 Sasktel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival. Not only that, but there will be tickets to give away. Kevin Tobin, artistic director for the festival, will be joining me for the first show to tell you about the hidden gems of this years festival.
